CIP Systems

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The CIP system consists of a CIP package unit, CIP supply and return transfer panels, and connecting lines between the user process tanks and the CIP package unit. The CIP package unit is supplied with the utilities WFI, USP purified water, plant steam, and sterile filtered process air. The package unit is also supplied with caustic and acid solutions from the drums by metering pumps. The CIP package unit consists of two liquid tanks, a CIP heater, a CIP supply pump, and a control and instrumentation system for automation of sequence operation. The unit is designed to satisfy all cGMP requirements, and can measure and report relevant operating parameters for validation.
